Prayer is powerful!  We all have experienced the power of prayer in our lives, but do we pray with expectation?  I think at times we know we should pray, but don’t really believe that God will answer our prayers.  Here we see the church praying for Peter, but notice their reaction when God answers their prayer.

“Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer the door. When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!” “You’re out of your mind,” they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, “It must be his angel.” But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished.”  (Acts 12: 13-16)

We can find their reaction humorous, but don’t we sometimes do the very same thing?  We need to pray with expectation.  Not that our will be done, but that His will be done.  Then watch and see what God does and get on board with His plan.

The YadaFactor Board of Directors and Leadership Team are all reading Extreme Prayer by Greg Pruett. This has prompted us to pray boldly together as we enter our Fall Fundraising Campaign that begins in November 2023. We would love for you all to join us in “extreme prayer” as we seek to finish strong in 2023 with $100,000 in total donations. As a point of reference, we finished last year at $87,963 and trust God’s provision as we finish out 2023.
